Change and Beyond

The Emergent Thinking Class

Starts week of 10/12 in Westport, CT

Limited Space Available

For additional information call 203.227.5010 or email Mel@melschwartz.com

The problem is not what we think, but how we think. If we long for change, and better still, transformation, we need to learn to think in an emergent manner.

There are an abundance of pundits, authors and speakers who urge us to change our thoughts and thus change our lives. This concept has profound importance. However, they donât teach us how to accomplish this most valuable goal. The Emergent Thinking process is devoted to that enterprise.

Most of the struggles that we endure: anxiety, depression, fear, failed relationships or dashed dreams are due to our worldview. Our thoughts and beliefs are primarily informed by this paradigm. Regrettably, most of us are stuck in the 17th century worldview of a detached, objective and mechanistic model of reality. This picture is no longer valid and more importantly it severely limits our lives as it disconnects us from one another and the universe at large.

Many years ago, I began to shift my worldview to come into alignment with the fascinating and remarkable discoveries of the emerging sciences, most notably quantum physics. When I did so, my personal evolution was catalyzed and I entered a period of mindfulness, self-empowerment and creativity.

The replication of old thoughts and struggles receded as new territory began to emerge. Having had such a profound, life-altering experience, I began to integrate these shifts of mind into my work as a psychotherapist. The results have been dramatic.

The Emergent Thinking process is the result of that unfolding. Over the last four years I have mentored well over 200 people through this process, primarily through the Westport-based Emergent Thinking Classes.

Emergent Thinking is a landmark process of personal transformation, based upon the emerging worldview of a quantum and participatory universe. My work is devoted to bringing these remarkable discoveries into our practical everyday lives.

Most of us have experienced feeling stuck in habitual ways of thinking, being or relating that lead to frustration, boredom and worse. We tend to long for a more dynamic existence.

In traditional psychotherapy we may spend many years exploring the causes of our struggles, looking backward in a reductive way. Yet, we still struggle to change, if not transform our lives.

Mainstream therapy is stuck as well, in a paradigm of outmoded science based upon objectivity and causality. This worldview encumbers our lives, demoralizes our souls and creates disempowerment and fear.

Yet, with a shift of mind, our lives can emerge.
